Sugbo Maya's first Halloween kids' party, themed on Coco and The Book of Life, filled the dining hall with colour, crafts and dancing on October 30, 2025, just weeks after the earthquake in northern Cebu.
Sugbo Maya invited families to a Book of Life and Coco Kids Party on October 30, 2025, from 2 to 5 PM: a colourful celebration of love, music and happy memories, for kids aged 3 to 12.
The restaurant framed it as a chance to celebrate life, remember loved ones, and heal through colour and laughter. Slots were limited and reserved with a half down payment, and walk-ins were welcome while slots lasted.
The dining hall was decked out with papel picado banners, orange and black balloons and a big Coco and Book of Life backdrop. Kids worked on crafts at the tables, danced with the costumed host, and lined up in their colourful costumes for group photos.
Afterwards, Sugbo Maya thanked everyone who joined, saying it was happy to see the kids smiling and enjoying themselves even after the recent earthquake, and that their joy brought light and colour to the day.
